Amy Alcott is one of the most celebrated women in golf. She is a member of the LPGA Hall of Fame and the World Golf Hall of Fame. Alcott’s “go for the pin” style led her to win 32 tournaments worldwide, including five Majors. Many recall how Amy celebrated her last LPGA Tour victory at the Nabisco Dinah Shore in 1991 by leaping into the greenside pond on 18; a tradition that the winner continues today.

Amy is collaborating with architect Gil Hanse on the design of the Rio 2016 Olympic Golf Course and has contributed to the legacy plans offered by the Hanse/Larkin Group team. Hanse says, “We have benefited greatly from the support of Hall of Famer Amy Alcott, who unselfishly accepted a supporting role on this project and brought her great playing and teaching credentials to our team.”

In the Larkin Group, Alcott will work with Hanse from the viewpoint of female players. Her experience of playing courses all over the world, coupled with her understanding of the under-served and untapped viability of the rapidly growing women’s market, will aid the Larkin Group in reaching all golfers.

Alcott is also consulting on the new master plan for the Ridgewood Country Club in Moultonboro, New Jersey with Gil Hanse.  She has also co-designed Indian Canyons in Palm Springs, California and Brick Landing in Ocean Isle, North Carolina.

Alcott shares her innumerable stories about the golf world’s personalities and performances as a TV commentator, speaker and writer.  Her most recent book is “The Leaderboard: Conversations on Golf and Life”, with a foreword by Jim Nantz and interviews with former President Bill Clinton, Kenny G, Steve Kroft, Pam Shriver and Dennis Quaid.
